The Shadow Phoenix (La Fenice d’Ombra)

It’s time for the Winx to begin their second year at Alfea Castle with a party commemorating Alfea’s recovery after the “Battle for Magix”. Tecna helps with object positioning in the courtyard, Musa works on the soundtrack, Flora decorates the dining hall and Stella worries about what to wear (of course).
Bloom stumbles upon Alfea’s Secret Archive and learns about pixies, pixie-fairy bonding and pixie pets from the pixie Concorda. (Woah, that’s a lot of pixies.)
Elsewhere, a dark-haired fairy named Layla climbs the side of an underground fortress to reach her pixie friends who have been captured by a horrible creature that Layla identifies as The Phoenix.
Layla puts up a valiant fight against the Phoenix and his minions but is too weak to save all but one pixie.
Phoenix: But how is that possible?! You should be too weak.
Layla: It’s not so easy to beat a fairy.
When Layla stumbles through the Dark forest, the Winx rush to her aid.
